Change Leadership and a Comprehensive Market Review of Pay

Conducting a market analysis of components of pay involves sources, judgement and a substantial amount of analytical thinking. But that just gets you to a measure result. Gaining consensus and implementing compensation changes involves an entirely different set of skills for the HR leader. Bo Stults and Caren Brownfield will share their experience in leading change in compensation at UTMB Galveston after the review of differential pay and other special pay programs at a large academic medical center.

Learning Objectives:

  • Moving from “market correct” to “institutional fit”
  • Gaining buy in from top execs who agree in principle but dread the message (spoiler alert…fix the message)
  • Overall change leadership, not management
  • Timing and communication to employees
